Renewing | Relating | Restoring Responding
Jesus spent his time on earth connecting with people who had been shunned by their society. Some for health reasons, some for ethnic reasons and some for cultural reasons.
Jesus made a point of reaching out to the outcast, the hopeless and the less acceptable to restore, heal and lift them up. He modelled what it was to bring the Kingdom of God to people and then commissioned his followers to continue his work. Whilst we aim to always follow his example, we dedicate May each year to focus on the particular aspect of church life that is called missions - reaching out with the Good News of the gospel to the disadvantaged in our world.
